A History of Volunteerism

I have a personal commitment to public service and volunteerism.

I’ve served on the county library board, and currently serve on the county predator board and as well as on the predator committee of a national organization. I am vice president of Wyoming Wool Growers Association and am in my second term serving on National Wildlife Services Advisory Council (initially appointed by President Trump and reappointed by President Biden).

I’m a volunteer with the Western Landowners Alliance and have served on the Wyoming Bighorn/Domestic Sheep Interactions Working Group since it was founded more than two decades ago. I was a leader in organizing the first annual Wyoming Sheep & Wool Festival that was launched last year and serve on the festival committee preparing for this year’s event.

I am a past officer of the Wind River Chapter of Trout Unlimited and have served on various advisory councils at the county, state and federal level for issues as varied as wilderness, waste management, sustainable management of rangelands, and public lands management.

I’m a past member of the Sublette County Artists Guild and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and am currently a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. I have been a featured speaker at book festivals, humanities forums, ag and education conferences, and in many Wyoming schoolrooms.

I read, and I support literacy, libraries, arts, culture, history, and humanities learning. I also volunteer as a grant writer for two non-profit organizations and have served as a volunteer judge for numerous literacy contests for children as well as some arts contests.

I am a former chair of the Sublette County Republican Party, have served as an elected precinct member and state central committee member, and volunteered for numerous campaigns for Republican candidates for decades.

I’d appreciate your support in the August 20 Republican Primary Election to represent Wyoming House District 20.
